A New Republic

I never thought that the Texas AG’s law suit against other States made sense. I hoped that any evidence about voter fraud would come to the attention of the public and verified through the courts one way or the other. If someone swears to something under penalty of perjury, it at least should be examined...I would have thought.

I’m sure there were plenty of silly affidavits signed, “I heard someone say they saw someone do something...” for example, but I don’t believe they were all like that. But we’ll never know will we?

I also never thought the Vice President could simply overturn a vote, or an election. Imagine giving that precedent to politicians for a second. People vote, Electors are cast, Vice President overrules it. Yeah, no issue there.

I’ve actually read the Constitution a couple of times, and I never understood the premise of Congress “verifying” the votes, but what I did know was there would be a time to present evidence and possibly enact an audit.

I, like most people who believe this election wasn’t transparent or 100% valid, simply heard reports of election integrity being abandoned and wanted justice. Video footage of felonies taking place is hard to un-see. Examine the machines, audit the votes, question procedures.

Imagine if the situation was reversed, Biden was winning by a landslide, the nation went to bed and woke up to Trump being declared the victor. While everyone was sleeping, thousands of votes were “found” for Trump, Republican poll workers refused to allow Democrat Poll workers on site, The Post Office was back dating votes 2 days in order for them to be counted, and so on and so on. There would most certainly have been intense pressure to at least examine the stories.

The precedent that this sets is a scary one nonetheless. Claims of voter fraud will never be taken seriously — unless it is a Democrat screaming it.

If there are in fact hundreds of citizens who have eyewitness testimony to actual voter fraud I hope they have their day in court.

The problem, as I see it, is that there is too much power and control being welded by the media. Bias has become a fortress that protects not the truth, or the public, but a perspective. I believe more people should see that as problematic.

Go back to my what-if example about if Biden lost and there were rumors of voter fraud, why would that have been different? Because we have too many media outlets which support only one side of the story. If you get your news from the main stream media, you get your news from Democrat controlled media, and if you get your news from anywhere else, it is Republican controlled media.

How do we battle that? You listen to both sides, do your own research, and make up your own mind, and be willing to adjust your stance if facts convince you to abort your views — -shocker I know.

Fascism can be summed up pretty succinctly as a forcible suppression of opposition which supports an absolute government. What we have happening in this country is quickly becoming forcible suppression of opposition. Former First Lady Michelle Obama just posted this perspective regarding President Trump:

“Now is the time for companies to stop enabling this monstrous behavior — and go even further than they have already by permanently banning this man from their platforms and putting in place policies to prevent their technology from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection”

Pay attention to that last part, “ putting in place policies to prevent their technology from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection”. Anyone who knows even a little bit of history should see what’s dangerous in that wish.

Those policies she wants would be forcible suppression

What happens when the Democrat party goes too far to the Left and moderate Democrats begin to voice opposition to the party line? Well, that could be considered insurrection and would be banned; that is not American, that is Fascism.

Citizens of a Republic should be concerned at any view point being banned. That my friends is not a Republic but a Democracy, the loudest and biggest voice wins; and once they win, they change the rules to ensure they never lose again.

It is my hope that we relinquish the power media has over us. Stop spewing the hateful rhetoric being espoused on your favorite channel — you know, the only one that is right and tells the truth, and start doing your own research and find what we have in common…while we still have something to share.
